ENTEK, the only US owned and US based producer of ‘wet-process’ lithium-ion battery separator materials, continues to invest in the future of the US lithium battery industry. To support the growing US electric vehicle and US energy storage system demand ENTEK announces its intention to decisively expand production capacity in addition to its earlier announced 1.4 billion square meters per year plan. Agreements for 18 separator film production lines have been signed with Brueckner Group USA, the US partner company of the world’s leading film stretching line supplier Brückner.
Rick Pekala, ENTEK’s CTO, says: “We will create more American jobs producing lithium battery components using the most advanced technologies and meeting the cleanest environmental standards in the world. Together, Brückner’s newest generation of separator film equipment and ENTEK’s material science, processing and coating technology, and recycling expertise we fulfill exactly that.”
