Plastchim-T/Manucor orders a new Brückner BOPP film line
The long-term partners Bulgarian Plastchim-T and Brückner Maschinenbau will also take the next steps together and signed for a new BOPP film production line. The state-of-the-art 8.7m wide 5-layer line will produce packaging films at Plastchim’s Manucor site in southern Italy from the 4th quarter 2026 at the latest.
Plastchim-T Chief Executive Director Beyan Faik says: “Our investments in these rather turbulent times clearly demonstrate our character as a strong family business: After acquiring Manucor last year, we are now looking to the future by investing in a new line at their site, expanding our portfolio particularly in the specialty film area.”
Manucor CEO Luigi Scagliotti adds: “With this step Plastchim-T is making a clear commitment to our location Sessa Aurunca as well as to film production in Italy and Europe in general.”

Plastchim-T is one of the leading privately owned European manufacturers of biaxially oriented polypropylene films (BOPP), cast polypropylene films (CPP), and flexible packaging products. In less than ten years the company has doubled their production capacity.
Since April 2024 Plastchim-T owns 100% of Manucor’s shares. Manucor was founded in 1987 and has grown to become a major film manufacturer, with matured capabilities and expertise in BOPP, self-adhesive and wrap-around tapes and labels. Within the Plastchim-T Group, Manucor added a scalable BOPP volume with critical know-how and expertise in flexible packaging category.
