SRF, one of India’s largest manufacturers of BOPET and BOPP films with existing production sites in India, Thailand and South Africa, decided to enter a new dimension for their production of oriented polyester films. They ordered an ultra-modern 10.4m wide line with the most advanced features and production speeds of up to 550m/min. It is the clear common target of Brückner Maschinenbau and SRF to set a new benchmark in the industry with this BOPET production line with regard to automization and efficiency.
The line will be installed in the second half of 2019 at SRF’s new production site in Hungary, which will be SRF’s 4th BO film production location. The target is to start with the production of high quality BOPET films within 2019. With this, SRF will be able to serve their existing European customers quicker, more efficiently, and also will have the best conditions for conquering new markets. According to the SRF Management, the decision for the 10.4m technology as well as for choosing Brückner is based on several reasons:
Prashant Mehra, SRF’s President & CEO, states: “By and large, it was our full confidence in Brückner’s overall capabilities that made us team up with them again. In the end, it’s important for us to react with the utmost flexibility to the markets’ demands and to serve our customers with the best film available. This is what we stand for in our export destinations in more than 70 countries.”
The new line will strengthen SRF’s premium status when it comes to flexible packaging solutions for food and non-food, other fast moving consumer goods and industrial products. Brückner Maschinenbau is proud to realize their first 10.4m BOPET film project together with such a renowned and innovative film producer.
