Huge amounts of PET film and sheet products are used in every day life – food and pharmaceutical packaging, credit cards or automotive industry – to name just a few.
With mass production hand in hand came the growing need for recycling, and Brückner Formtec took the challenge or realising a cost saving and high flexible extrusion process: Twin screw technology
Use your waste, gain profits
With twin screw technology undried PET processing with only a marginal drop of the intrinsic viscosity (IV) is possible. Thus a very high percentage (100%) reclaim can be used.
Flakes can be derived from in house edge-trim, start-up film or thermoforming grid as well as from PET performs or PET blow moulding, if available. Another chance of reclaim input is from reclaimed post consumer bottle scrap. Large quantities of so-called carbonated soft drink (CSD) bottle scrap are nowadays available.
Features are: | | Loss in weight dosing – highest accuracy
| | | Continuous degassing – undried PET processing
| | | Modular screw design – adaptable and in case of wear easily replaceable
| | | Water-cooled AC drives – long lifetime, electronically controlled
| | | High reclaim percentage of low bulk density flake
| | | Very low drop in intrinsic viscosity (IV)
| | | Proven horizontal roll stack design
| | | High output rates
| | | Extra wide calendered web with finished width of up to 2600 mm
| | | Wide thickness range of from 120 to 1200 µm |
